How can I see the change history for a specific piece of content?

Created on 06th October 2015 at 15:30 by Jamie O'Connell

It is possible to use the 'History' panel in the editor to find out all of the changes that were saved to a specific piece of content.

NOTE:
The user must have access to the 'History' panel in order to perform these actions.

Filter the 'History' panel to show changes for your selected content

  1. Select the piece of content in the document preview.
  2. Open the 'History' panel.
  3. Click the 'Filter' button to open the 'History Filter' window.
  4. Choose 'Selection' from the drop-down menu. This will filter out all changes except those made to the selected piece of content.
  5. Un-check the 'Show Hierarchy' option, if desired. This will remove the need to expand out every change in the history panel.
  6. Click 'Apply'.
  7. All changes that have been made to this piece of content are displayed in the 'History' panel.

NOTE:
It is possible to combine other filters with the 'Selection' option. For example, you might wish to only show segment edits, or only changes that were made by a specific user, etc. For more information, please see the lesson for the 'History' panel.
