How can I delete jobs from my 'Jobs' tab?

Created on 02nd February 2015 at 11:36 by Jamie O'Connell

You may end up with numerous jobs present in your 'Jobs' tab.

This is because you have been assigned to the workflow for all of these jobs, and those jobs are not yet complete.

There are three ways in which you can remove jobs from your 'Jobs' tab.

1. Complete the Job

The primary method for removing a job from your 'Jobs' tab is to simply complete the job.

  • To complete an 'Edit/Translation' step, you will need to mark all the content items (text segments, images) in the job as "Done".
  • To complete a 'Review' step, you will need to mark all the content items in this step as either "Accept" or "Reject".

This will move those items out of your workflow step (either to the next step or to a previous step, depending on what was chosen).

Given that you no longer have 'active' work to do in the jobs, they no longer appear in your 'Jobs' list (i.e. your "to-do list").

NOTE:
Obviously, if the job is "live", you should also complete your edits/translations before marking the items as "Done" and moving them to the next workflow step.

NOTE:
If your job step is the last step in the workflow, then the workflow will not be fully (100%) completed until all editable items are marked as "Done" or "Accept".

2. Be removed from the Workflow (one2edit™ administrator required)

The reason that a job appears in your 'Jobs' tab is because you have been added to an active workflow.

If you feel that you should not have been assigned to a particular job, please contact your one2edit™ administrator and ask them to remove you from the workflow(s).

NOTE:
Please send your administrator the Document ID (marked in the screenshot above), so that they can easily find the workflow to which you are referring.

3. Pause/delete the Workflow (one2edit™ administrator required)

Perhaps the jobs that are showing in your 'Jobs' tab are from a training or trial and are, therefore, not required. In this case, your one2edit™ administrator can pause (or delete) the workflow, as shown in the screenshot above.

Again, you should send the document ID to your one2edit™ administrator (as shown in step 2), so that they can easily find the workflow.

NOTE:
Pausing or deleting a workflow will remove that job from everyone's 'Jobs' tab, not just your own.
