How can I upload a file to my one2edit™ Asset Space?

Created on 09th May 2016 at 11:09 by Jamie O'Connell

This lesson will show you how to upload a file to a one2edit™ Asset Space, e.g., uploading your InDesign® package .zip archive to one2edit™.

NOTE:
If you have a self-hosted one2edit™ system, then your Asset Space is probably a drive on your local network. In that case, you may be able to access the network drive directly via your normal file-management tools.

NOTE:
This lesson is only valid for users with asset administration privileges.

Click 'File > Browse Asset Spaces'

In the 'Projects' tab, click on 'File > Browse Asset Spaces' to open the Asset Browser window

Select a folder & click 'Upload'

Select the folder into which you want to upload the file, and click 'Upload'.

This will open a window prompting you to choose a file (or multiple files) from your local system.

NOTE:
If you are uploading a .zip archive, you may upload it to the 'root' folder. When a .zip archive is extracted, it will be automatically placed in a folder of the same name.

File(s) uploaded

The file has now been uploaded.

If the file is a .zip archive, you may extract it using the 'Extract Zip' button, as shown. This will extract the archive into a folder of the same name.

Remember: the directory tree is on the left and the files are on the right.
