Why can I not export an INX file?

Created on 20th August 2015 at 16:20 by Jamie O'Connell

INX files are only supported by InDesign CS5 and earlier.

When using InDesign CS5.5 and later, it is not possible to export this file-type (IDML is the new exchange format).

If you require an INX file and are using the one2editâ„¢ Express platform, please follow these steps:

  1. Change the default InDesign version of the workspace to CS5 (via 'Settings > Client Workspace Settings')
  2. Create a new project in the workspace using either a CS5 (or earlier) INDD file, or an IDML file that was exported from any newer version of InDesign.

The one2edit project will now be in the CS5 format, allowing the system to export INX files.

NOTE:
If you subsequently change the default InDesign version for the workspace to a newer version, this will convert your CS5 project(s) to this newer version.
