You may see hash/pound/number symbols in a cell instead of text.

This is an issue with some older versions of Microsoft Excel, and can happen when a segment contains above a certain number of characters.

Double-clicking into the affected cell reveals the original text. As soon as the field is selected you can start translating and saving changes as usual.

After editing parts of the segment, the text will remain visible in the cell.

NOTE:
The text should always show up correctly in the formula bar at the top of the screen.

NOTE:
The content in the grey and blue areas of the worksheet is write protected and must not be changed. If you do change the protected content, you will be unable to import the translated Excel XML file to one2edit™.
