How to move and organize Folders

Created on 20th October 2026 at 08:44 by Jamie O'Connell

This lesson demonstrates how to organize a folder structure via drag-and-drop.

This applies to Templates and Workflows, as well as Projects.

NOTE: This only applies if you have the Arrange Folders option in your User Preferences set to Manual. You cannot move folders that are sorted alphabetically or by date.

Reorganize Folders at same Level

  1. If you wish to move a folder to a location between two other folders, ensure that the drop indicator is a line before releasing the mouse button.
  2. The folder will then be located between the two chosen folders.

NOTE: If you drop the folder onto another folder, it will be moved inside that other folder and look to have disappeared. You simply need to drag the folder back out again.

Move Folders into other Folders

  1. If you wish to move one folder inside another folder, ensure that the target folder is fully highlighted before releasing the mouse button.
  2. The folder will then become a sub-folder of the target.
