How can I export the entire Translation Memory?

Created on 13th October 2026 at 14:16 by Jamie O'Connell

You can export an entire one2edit™ translation memory as a TMX file.

This can be useful if you plan to tidy up the TMX file using a third-party CAT tool, or simply for backup reasons.

Settings > Language Sets

In the main navigation menu, click Settings > Language Sets.

Open Translation Memory

Open the translation memory (TM) of the set by clicking Open Set TM in its option menu.

Export the TM Database

  1. In the action menu, click Export. This opens the Translation Memory Export dialog, as shown.
  2. Click the Export button.

The file will be saved to your local machine using your browser settings (e.g. straight to the Downloads folder).

NOTE: If you wish, you can use the Selection drop-down menu to export only specific languages, only entries that match a specific search result, etc.

NOTE: There is no requirement to select any languages in the drop-down menus if you are exporting the entire TM database.
