How can I change the Hyphenation for my TM Languages?

Created on 13th October 2026 at 14:16 by Jamie O'Connell

You may need to define the hyphenation for a language so that certain artefacts (e.g. quotation marks) will be rendered correctly by Adobe® InDesign® Server for that language.

NOTE: The list of hyphenation languages comes from Adobe® InDesign® Server, not from one2edit™.

Settings > Language Sets

In the main navigation menu, click Settings > Language Sets.

Set Hyphenation Languages

  1. Find your Language Set and choose Properties from its option menu. This opens the Language Set Details dialog.
  2. Click the Languages tab.
  1. Select the hyphenation language for each language in your set.
  2. Once you have selected all the hyphenation languages, click Save.

NOTE: Adobe® InDesign® does not offer hyphenation rules for all languages. If your language is not on the list, simply leave it as Neutral.
