How can I upload a File using the one2edit™ Asset Browser?

Created on 12th October 2026 at 15:48 by Jamie O'Connell

This lesson will show you how to upload a file to a one2edit™ Asset Project

For example, your Adobe® InDesign® package .zip archive file, a missing image, etc.

NOTE: If you have a self-hosted one2edit™ system, then your Asset Projects are probably a drive on your local network. In that case, you may be able to access the network drive directly via your normal file-management tools.

NOTE: This lesson is only valid for users that have access to an Asset Project.

Open the Asset Browser

Click Assets in the main navigation menu to open the Asset Browser.

NOTE: If you do not have an Assets option, but you believe that you should, please speak to your one2edit™ administrator.

Upload File(s)

  1. Select the folder into which you want to upload the file
  2. Click Upload.

This will open a file-browser dialog, where you can select one or more files to upload.

NOTE: Due to limitations of the POST HTTP request method, there is a per-file size limit of 250MB when uploading through a web browser. If you select multiple files to upload, and no single file is over 250MB, then they should upload without issue.

  1. You will see your file present once it has been uploaded.
  2. If the file is a .zip archive, you may extract it using the Extract Zip button, as shown.

NOTE: When a .zip archive is extracted, the files within will be automatically placed into a folder of the same name.
