Can I permit non-Admin Users to export High-Res PDFs?

Created on 09th October 2026 at 09:27 by Jamie O'Connell

Users can be permitted to export high-res PDFs of fully completed jobs from their Job Archive. The user must be in a user group that permits access to the Job Archive, as well as permission to export completed jobs.

This lesson shows how to enable these permissions for a user group.

NOTE: A user who is permitted to export documents from their Job Archive is not limited to exporting PDFs. They can also export InDesign files, TMX files, InDesign Packages (including font files), etc. Therefore, you should be certain that the users in the group should have this permission.

NOTE: High-resolution PDFs can only be exported if you have uploaded an appropriate PDF preset to your one2edit™ Client Workspace.

Set User-Group Permissions

  1. Click the BRANDGUARDIAN® logo to open the main navigation menu.
  2. Open the Users and Groups dialog via Settings > Users and Groups.
  1. Open the Group Details dialog by double-clicking a user group, or by clicking Properties in the group's option menu.
  2. Select the Permissions tab for the group.
  3. Under the Regular User Permissions, check the boxes for Job > Archive and Projects > Export.
  4. Click 'Save'.

Export from Job Archive

In the Job Archive:

  1. Select Export Document from the completed job's option menu.
  2. Choose the export format, etc., including the high-res PDF Preset to use.
  3. Click Export.

NOTE: As mentioned above, users in groups with the Projects > Export permission can export multiple formats from their Job Archive, not just PDFs. They can also export INDD files, InDesign packages containing fonts, etc.
