If I rename a Document, are its Links maintained?

Documents are identified through their ID numbers. Therefore, changing the name of the document in one2edit™ does not affect any other aspects of that document.

The following steps show how to rename documents in one2edit™.

Open Project Details Dialog

Open the Project Details dialog by clicking Properties in the document's context menu (or by clicking the document's thumbnail icon).

  1. Update the text in the Name field to rename this document.
  2. Click Save to apply your changes and close the dialog.

NOTE: If there is text in the Version field, and you plan on creating language versions of this document, you can leave the Version field blank. Then, any Version Document will be named Version of <NAME>, where <NAME> is the text from the source-language document's Name field.

You can now see the updated name in the Projects area.
