Why are Parent Pages visible in the one2edit™ Editor?

Created on 10th June 2026 at 13:12 by Jamie O'Connell

Adobe® InDesign® Parent Pages

Each document in one2edit™ is an Adobe® InDesign® document. Every InDesign document contains at least one parent page (previous known as a master page).

It is possible to place content from a parent page into a Content Group for editing in one2edit™, so these parent pages must be accessible.

There is no option to only partially display an InDesign document in one2edit™.

NOTE: If no content is editable on the parent pages, then the parent pages are not displayed in the thumbnail list of the Job Editor. They are, however, always accessible via the spread drop-down menu.

NOTE: It is possible to use the JSI to customize the one2edit™ editor in a web-portal (e.g. auto-hiding the thumbnails).
