Why can I not edit Images in my Job?

Created on 10th June 2026 at 13:10 by Jamie O'Connell

Check that Image is in a Content Group

The first thing to check is that you have added the image to a Content Group in your Source Document. Only content items that have been added to a Content Group can be edited in a Job.

If you cannot even set a status for the image in your Job, please ask your one2edit™ administrator to add the image to your Job.

Check your Content Rules

Image-editing permissions (and text-editing permissions) are granted via the one2edit™ Content Rules. These rules define how items in a Content Group may be edited by an end-user in a Job.

If no Content Rules are assigned to the Content Group (or to the individual item), then an end-user only has permission to edit the text in editable text segments (i.e. not the images). In other words, end-users are not, by default, permitted to edit images that have been added to a Content Group.

If you feel that you should be permitted to edit the images in your Job, please contact your one2edit™ administrator.

Check that the Layer is not locked

If a Layer is locked in the Source Document, then it is also locked in all associated Version Documents.

Content items (i.e. text segments and images) on a locked Layer cannot be edited, no matter what Content Rules are set within one2edit™.

Please contact your one2edit™ administrator if you think that a Layer may be locked.
