How to install older (and legacy) versions of your CC apps

Created on 15th November 2019 at 17:07 by Jamie O'Connell

If you have already updated an Adobe CC app to the latest version (and overwritten any older versions), then you may wish to re-install the older version alongside the new one.

Or perhaps you have moved to a new computer, but require an older version of the application for compatibility purposes.

This lesson will show you how to access the older versions of the CC apps.

Click 'Other versions'

In the Creative Cloud app, click the 'More actions' menu (marked with 3 dots), and then click 'Other versions'.

Click 'Install' for older version

Click the 'Install' button beside a previous version.

NOTE:
Not all previous versions will be shown here for installation, but this list will be expanded if there are older versions present.

Find installers for older (legacy) versions

If you need an older version than is displayed within the CC App, you can click the 'View more' link to open a webpage with 'legacy versions' for download:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html

NOTE:
Some older installers won't work with macOS Catalina 10.15, and are clearly marked as such.
