v4 Language-Set Translation Memory (TM)

Created on 05th February 2026 at 09:36 by Jamie O'Connell

You can directly inspect the Translation Memory (TM) of any one2edit™ Language Set.

This interface also enables you to import/export TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) files, or Excel XML files containing language pairs.

Click 'Open Set TM'

Select Open Set TM from the context menu of the relevant Language Set.

Import TMX/XML

Drag-and-drop a TMX or Excel XML file from your computer to the Language Set view to import it.

If you are importing an Excel XML file, you will need to select the language for each column upon import, so please ensure that you have added those languages to the Language Set.

NOTE: Please ensure that the TMX encoding is UTF-8.

Choose languages to view

  1. Choose languages from the drop-down menus to display side-by-side comparisons of translation-memory segments.
  2. Page through translation-memory contents. Up to 50 matches will be displayed on each page.
  3. Click the X to hide a selected language. Please note that this button does NOT delete anything from the database.
  4. Filter/search for specific segments using this field.
  5. Matches in the chosen languages are displayed side-by-side. If a selected language has no match in another selected language, the cell will be blank.
  6. Edit the translation-memory entry. This can be useful to correct spelling errors, etc.
  7. Delete the translation-memory entry for this language. Please notes that this WILL delete the translation-memory entry from the database.
  8. Action button with two options:
    • Clear All: Delete EVERYTHING from the translation-memory database in this Language Set (see below).
    • Export: Export a TMX file from this Language Set.

Clear All

Clear All will remove ALL translations in a particular language set, as explained by the warning pop-up.

Please be 100% certain that you wish to do this before you confirm.

You may wish to export your translation memory via the Export option to create a backup, just in case.
