How to apply Text Rule Sets to a Content Group

Created on 09th December 2016 at 13:26 by Jamie O'Connell

Text Rules can be applied to a Project, a Content Group, or to a specific Segment.

This lesson shows how to apply Text Rules to a Content Group.

NOTE:

In this lesson, a Text Rule Set containing Text Rules has already been created.

Open 'Content Group Details' window

Open 'Content Group Details' window

Open your 'Content Group Details' window by double-clicking on the Content Group tab in the Master Document Editor.

  1. The 'Inherit settings' box is checked by default. This means that the default Text Rules for the project will be assigned to the Content Group.
  2. Any Text Rules that have been assigned to the project will be displayed in the Text Rules field.

Assign Different Text Rules to the Content Group

  1. Uncheck the 'Inherit settings' box in the 'Text Rules' field.
  2. Drag and drop Text Rule Sets from the 'Text Rules' window (opened via 'Settings > Text Rules'). You may also delete Text Rule Sets so that they do not apply to the Content Group.
  3. Click 'Save'.

NOTE:

Only the Text Rules shown in the 'Text Rules' field will apply to the content of this Content Group.
