How to apply Text Rule Sets to a Project

Text Rules can be applied to a Project, a Content Group, or to a specific Segment.

This lesson shows how to apply Text Rules to a Project.

NOTE:

In this lesson, a Text Rule Set containing Text Rules has already been created.

Click 'File > Default Text Rules'

Click 'File > Default Text Rules'

Click 'File > Default Text Rules'.

You can drag and drop Text Rule Sets into this window from the 'Text Rules' window.

Click 'Settings > Text Rules'

Click 'Settings > Text Rules' to access the Text Rule Sets.

Drag-and-drop Text Rule Set

Drag a Text Rule Set from the list and drop it into the 'Text rules' window.

Add as many rule sets as required.

NOTE:

You must drag-and-drop entire Text Rule Sets, not individual Text Rules.

Apply Text Rules to the project

Apply Text Rules to the project
  1. The selected Text Rule Sets listed will be applied to all jobs from this project.
  2. If the checkbox is checked, the rules from this set will be 'enforced'. If the box is not checked, the rules will be 'suggested'.
  3. Click the red 'X' beside a rule set to delete it from the list.
  4. When all rule sets have been added, click 'Apply'.

NOTE:

This window can be re-opened and changed by clicking on 'Frame > Default Text Rules'.
