When you open the text-editor window (1), panels will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Click the globe icon (2) to open the 'Translation' panel.

In the screenshot above, we can see a 100% match for the selected segment in the internal one2edit™ translation memory.

(1) 'Translation Result':

• We can see that the match has a 'Quality' rating of 100 (meaning 100%).
• The green square indicates that the translation is from the 'permanent' (i.e. 'approved') translation memory.
• The 'Text' field displays the beginning of the translation match segment.
• The 'i' button will provide more information about the translation, if required.

(2) Apply the translation to the editor window:

Select the translation that you wish to use (there may be more than one) and click 'Apply'. You may also double-click the translation that you wish to use.

(3) Editor Window Updated:

The selected translation text is entered into the text-editing window. Here it can be adapted, if required.

(4) Render translation in document:

Click the 'Apply' button to render the translation within the document.

(5) Mark item as 'Done':

Once the translation has been rendered within the document, you can mark the segment as 'Done'.

NOTE:

A pre-translation action in the workflow will automatically translate any segments that have a 100% match.

NOTE:

Once the text has been rendered within the document, the 'Translation Result' will be disappear. This is because the 'Translation Source' setting is set to 'Selected Text' (which has now changed from the source language to the target language).

You can see the bi-lingual entry (both source and target language) for a translation memory match by clicking on the 'i' button to the right of the match.

This can be useful if you have a match that is less than 100%. This match can then be inserted into the editor window and adapted to fit the current translation requirement.

(1) 'Translation Source > Free Text':

You can also search for any phrase in the TM by selecting 'Free Text' as the translation source and entering your search term into the field.

(2) Click 'Refresh':

Clicking the refresh button will update the 'Translation Result' area with the results of your free text search in the TM.
