Edit a Frame – Job Editor

Created on 08th December 2016 at 17:55 by Jamie O'Connell

The geometry of frames can be manipulated in one2edit™ v3.8.x and later.

NOTE:

By default, it is not possible for users to edit the frame geometry during an editing/translation job. However, it is possible to set up 'Frame Rules' in the master document to allow this, which can be useful for localization/translation requirements.

NOTE:

A text frame is shown as being edited in this lesson, but the same principles apply to an image frame.

Click 'Edit Frame'

Click 'Edit Frame'

If a frame is editable, it will have an 'Edit Frame' option on a pop-out menu.

To access the 'Edit Frame' option, move your mouse cursor over the small triangle in either the structure panel, or the top-right of the frame itself.

Click 'Edit Frame' to start editing the frame's geometry.

NOTE:

If no frame rules have been set up in the master document, the 'Edit Frame' option will not be available, and it will not be possible for you to edit frame geometry in your job.

You can use the frame handles to manipulate the frame geometry with your mouse.

  2. The scaling factor of the text and frame can be locked using this button (i.e. as the frame grows, the content within scales).

NOTE:

Depending on your frame-editing privileges, not all options may be available to you.
