  2. The zoom percentage
  3. The zoom slider and presets (via the drop-down menu beside the percentage value)

  1. Fit Width
  2. Fit Content
  3. 100% (1:1)

NOTE: Zoomed area in thumbnail

When zoomed in, the zoom area will be highlighted in the spread thumbnail.

The area can then be dragged within the spread thumbnail to aid navigation while zoomed in.

  1. With the zoom tool selected, click on the document preview to zoom in towards that point.
  2. If you press the 'Alt' key on your keyboard, clicking with the zoom tool will zoom out.

Zoom tool - selected area

Select tool & frame zoom area

With the zoom tool selected, drag your mouse to select a target zoom area. The selected area is highlighted, and the rest of the document is grayed out. Releasing the mouse button will zoom into the selected area.

NOTE:

While the zoom tool is selected, no content can be edited and the content markers are not shown in the preview. The 'Edit Tool' needs to be reselected for continued editing.

Zoom percentage

Zoom percentage

You can either type in a zoom percentage, or use the up and down arrows to the left to increase/decrease the percentage.

The maximum zoom value is 1000%.

The minimum zoom value is 10%

NOTE:

All zooming methods will affect the percentage value shown here. For example, if you zoom using the zoom tool, the percentage value will be updated to reflect your chosen zoom level.

Zoom slider

Click and drag the marker on the slider to zoom.

Dragging to the left zooms out, while dragging to the right zooms in.

Preset: 'Fit Width'

Clicking the 'Fit Width' button will zoom the document (in or out) so that the document width is just inside the editor-window.

The actual zoom value required to fit the spread width to your browser window will depend on the size of that browser window.

Preset: 'Fit Content'

Clicking the 'Fit Content' button sets the zoom level so that the entire spread is shown in the preview area.

The actual zoom value required to fit the spread in your browser window will depend on the size of that browser window.

Preset: '100%' (1:1)

Preset: '100%' (1:1)

Clicking the '100%' button will set the zoom percentage to 100%.

Depending on the size of your browser window, this may cause some of the spread to no longer be visible.
