How to test your Text Rules

Created on 22nd May 2024 at 09:52 by Jamie O'Connell

This lesson shows you how to test your Text Rules before applying them to a project.

Open the Test Dialog

  1. Select a Text Rule Set.
  2. Click Test in the option menu to open the Test Text Rules dialog.

Test Text Rules

By default, this dialog is empty apart from the selected Text Rule Set.

Test your Text Rules

  1. Type some test text into the Text field.
  2. The text also appears in the Result field. If any Text Rules are matched, this text will then be updated according to the defined rule(s).
  3. A list of all Text Rules have been applied appears in the Applied Text Rules field.

NOTE: Remember, Text Rules can stack, so multiple rules may be applied at once.

Test Multiple Sets

Drag-and-drop multiple Text Rule Sets into the Text Rule Sets field to test rules from all of these sets simultaneously.
