Knowledge Base / Administrators – Uploading Documents to one2edit™ v4 / Create and upload an InDesign® Package

Uploading an InDesign® Package using the Asset Browser

Created on 17th April 2024 at 13:19 by Jamie O'Connell

This lesson is about how to upload an Adobe® InDesign® package to one2edit™ via the Asset Browser.

When using the Asset Browser, you will need to first create a ZIP archive of the packaged files locally, upload that ZIP file, and then extract the ZIP file in your one2edit™ Asset Space.

NOTE: You can find tutorials about how to package InDesign files on the Adobe website.

Open the Asset Browser

Click Assets in the main navigation menu to open the Asset Browser.

The Asset Browser grants access to your one2edit™ Asset Project, where you can upload your own documents and files.

Create a new Folder (optional)

  1. Choose the Asset Project to which you wish to upload your files (often, there is only one available).
  2. Click the New Folder button to create a folder.
  3. Name the new folder.
  4. Click Save.

Upload the InDesign Package ZIP File

  1. Select the folder into which you will upload the InDesign Package.
  2. Click the Upload button. This will open a file-browser window from where you can choose a file from your local computer.
  3. Once you have chosen a file to upload, a progress bar will be displayed.

Extract the ZIP File

  1. Select the uploaded ZIP file.
  2. Click the Extract Zip button.
  3. The files will be extracted to a folder of the same name as the ZIP file. Your InDesign Package files are located within this folder.
