Create Folders and Subfolders

Created on 26th February 2024 at 10:46 by Jamie O'Connell

All of your one2edit™ projects are organized in folders, and you should build a folder structure that best suits your needs.

This lesson demonstrates how to create folders and subfolders.

NOTE: The folder structure for your one2edit Projects is not the same as the folder structure for your assets (i.e. files).

First time logging into one2edit™

The first time that you log into one2edit™ as an administrator, you will start in the Projects area containing a single folder named Documents.

Here you can create top-level folders and subfolders to contain projects created around InDesign files.

NOTE: Folders are displayed on the left, and folder content is displayed on the right.

Create a new top-level folder

  1. Ensure that no folder is selected.
  2. Click the + (plus) action button to add a new folder.
  3. Name the new folder.
  4. Click Save.

NOTE: If you have a folder selected, the new folder will be created as a sub-folder instead.

You have created a top-level folder.

Create a new subfolder

  1. Select the folder that will be the parent folder.
  2. Click the + (plus) action button to add a new subfolder.
  3. Name the new subfolder.
  4. Click Save.
  1. Click the triangle next to the parent folder to expand the tree.
  2. Your new subfolder is shown.
