How to create Text Rule Sets

Created on 30th January 2024 at 15:45 by Jamie O'Connell

Collections of Text Rules are known as Text Rule Sets. Before you can create a Text Rule, you must create a Text Rule Set as a container for it.

NOTE: It is these sets which are added to Projects in one2edit™, not the individual rules. So you should ensure that all of the Text Rules in a set should be active together.

Create a Text Rule Set

  1. Select the folder in which your new set of Text Rules will be created.
  2. Click the + (plus) Action Button to add a new Rule Set.
  3. Give the new set a name and click Save.

There are two options available for the Application Default setting:

  • Enforce: This is the default setting. Text Rules in this set will be enforced (i.e. applied) without any user interaction required.
  • Suggest: Text Rules in this set will be suggested to the user. If the conditions for a rule are met, the text shall be underlined in blue. The user may then choose to apply the rule or not.

This setting will dictate the default behavior for the rules in this set. However, this default behavior can be overridden when adding the Text Rule Set to a Content Group or project.
