Reviewing Content

Created on 12th June 2023 at 13:23 by Jamie O'Connell

When reviewing content, users can Accept content to move it to the next step of the Workflow, or Reject content to push it back to a previous Workflow step.

Review Elements

Image showing a spread that contains items to be reviewed

Here is an open Review Job.

This particular spread contains 3 elements to review. We will look at the 2 items outlined in red.

Accept an Element

  1. Click the item's Status Marker to open the menu.
  2. Click Accept.
  3. The Status Marker for this item becomes a green checkmark, and the item is highlighted in green.

Reject an Element

This segment, on the other hand, has not been translated. If we want to reject this back to the translation stage instead of editing/translating it ourselves, we can do the following:

  1. Click the item's Status Marker to open the menu.
  2. Click Reject. This opens the Reject dialog.
  3. Here, you can give the reason why you are rejecting this content. This reason is encapsulated within a Note for others to see.
  4. The Status Marker for this item becomes a red X, and the item is highlighted in red.

NOTE: Items that are rejected will be pushed back to the chosen Workflow Step (chosen via the Forward to drop-down menu) and that Job will be re-opened if it had previously been completed.

Check Rejection Note

  1. The Note Marker can be dragged to a more appropriate location, if required. Clicking a Note Marker will open it in the Notes Panel on the left side of the window.
  2. The Notes Panel can be opened directly via this icon.
  3. Selecting a Note from the list will display its content in the lower part of the Panel.
  4. Each Note is assigned to an item in the document. The breadcrumb trail for the item is shown in the Note. Clicking here will select the annotated item in the document, allowing the user to easily locate the relevant item.

Save & Close

Close the Job by clicking the Close Document button in the Toolbar.

If you have any unsaved changes, you will be prompted to save them.

Jobs List may now be empty

If you addressed all of the active task items in the Job, you may now have an empty Jobs list.

Jobs will automatically appear as users commit items for you to review.
