Image File Types

Created on 11th April 2017 at 12:21 by Jamie O'Connell

Designers should choose appropriate image and graphic formats.

For optimal one2edit™ system performance, jpg, png, psd, and tif are recommended. Using vector formats such as eps, svg and ai for images can negatively impact the performance of InDesign® Server and one2edit™.

NOTE: The image size (dpi, dimensions, etc.) also impacts performance, so use appropriate resolutions where possible.

NOTE: Even when an image is cropped by a frame, InDesign® Server and the one2edit™ system will still need to render the image in its entirety.

NOTE: The EPS format is obsolete and should not be used. Please see the article on Vector File Types for more information.
