Knowledge Base / Designers – Designing a Document for Localisation/Translation / Manual for Designers

9. Text in a Graphic

Created on 11th April 2017 at 12:20 by Jamie O'Connell

Text that is part of a graphic cannot be directly edited in one2edit™, as is the case in InDesign® itself.

In order for text to be directly editable in one2edit (or InDesign), the text must be contained within an InDesign text element (e.g. an InDesign text-frame overlaid on the image).

This can be a concern when a document is being localized. If there is text in an image which will need to be changed, then either an InDesign text element must be placed over the image instead, or an altered image must exist for each target document.
