Editing Images

Created on 16th May 2023 at 14:22 by Jamie O'Connell

In some workflows, images need to be localised or manipulated in some way. Users can be permitted to edit images, but only in ways controlled by the Content Rules for the Job.

Open Image Editor

Clicking an editable image will open the Image Editor.

The Toolbar changes to display the Fit and Replace buttons, and the Image Editor Panel appears on the right-hand side.

NOTE: Not all images can be edited. An image can only be edited in a Job if the image has been added to the Content Group for the Job, and if the Content Rules for the Job permit editing/replacing images.

Close Image Editor after making changes

Once you have completed your changes, you can either press the Esc key on your keyboard to close the Image Editor, or click on the Pasteboard behind the document.

Closing the Image Editor applies the changes that you have made to the document, and you can now save your changes.

NOTE: If your changes are not permitted by the Content Rules assigned to the Job (e.g. the DPI is too low, the frame is not filled, etc.), then the image will revert to its original state.
