Knowledge Base / one2edit™ v4 User Interface Description / Settings – v4

Navigation Menu > Settings > Language Sets

Created on 28th April 2023 at 13:31 by Jamie O'Connell

The Language Sets dialog is where you manage your Language Sets for the integrated one2edit™ Translation Memory (TM).

What is Translation Memory (TM)?
A Translation Memory is a database of language segments matched to the equivalent segments in other languages. Each Language Set references its own TM database. While most users will only require a single Language Set, it is possible to have separate Language Sets for specific brands/products.

  1. Language Sets folder: There is a default folder named Language Sets. You can create as many folders as you require to organize your Language Sets.
  2. New Folder: Click here to create a new sub-folder within the selected folder. Or de-select all folders to create a new root folder.
  3. Language Set: This is where the Language Sets are listed. As there is no one-size-fits-all for Language Sets and Translation Memories, you will need to create your own.
  4. Option Menu:  This menu has options for editing, moving and deleting the Language Set. You can also open, inspect, and edit the TM for this Language Set.
  5. New Language Set: Click here to create a new Language Set within the selected folder.
  6. Languages: The languages of the selected Language Set are displayed here.
