User Menu

Created on 28th April 2023 at 13:29 by Jamie O'Connell

The user menu (outline of a person's torso) is where you can update your password and user details, set preferences for your user such as the theme to use, and sign out of the system.

NOTE: This is also the menu that will display any Documents or Jobs that your user currently has open. For example, if you were working on a Job, and your connection broke, or your browser crashed, you can then re-open that Job after logging in via this menu. See below for what that looks like.

User Menu

Click the outline of the person to expand the User Menu.

  1. Username: This is a read-only display of your username.
  2. User Preferences: Opens the User Preferences dialog.
  3. Sign Out: Signs you out of the system.

User Preferences

  1. Theme: This is where you can choose your theme. The current themes are Light and Dark. You can also choose Default, which will use the default theme of your system.
  2. Arrange folders: The folders in your Projects area will be sorted according to the option chosen here. Manual is the default option.
  3. Language: Choose the language for the one2edit™ UI. Currently only English is available.
  4. Expand the Name/Password area: Click here to expand the dialog and update your user details.

Username and Password

After expanding the dialog, you can update your Name, your E-Mail (i.e. your username), and your password.

NOTE: A password must be entered twice (once in each field) to approve it.

NOTE: It is not necessary to enter a password if you just want to change your name or email address.

Open Jobs and Documents

Users can see all of their open document sessions listed in their User Menu.

The sub-menu Opened Projects/Jobs pops out to show:

  1. this user's open Jobs (i.e. Documents opened in the Job Editor), which is the Job ID prefixed by the word Job
  2. this user's open Master Documents (i.e. Documents opened in the Master-Document Editor), which is the Document ID prefixed by the word Project

NOTE: If you do not close your editing session via the Exit button in the toolbar, the session will stay open. This is useful if you experience a technical issue, and need to restart your browser. You can simply log back in to one2edit™, and pick up where you left off via this menu option.

NOTE: Typically only Administrator users will be able to open documents in the Master-Document Editor.
