Knowledge Base / one2edit™ v4 User Interface Description / Universal UI Elements – v4

Notifications

Created on 28th April 2023 at 13:29 by Jamie O'Connell

one2edit™ v4.x runs many tasks in the background (e.g. exporting documents, checking out documents, etc.), allowing the user to continue working while those tasks are being performed.

The Notifications menu (the small bell icon in the top-right corner) is a new addition to one2edit™, and all notifications relevant to your user are shown here (e.g. completed exported, started jobs, etc.).

A red badge indicates how many unread notifications there are.

Using the Notifications Menu

  1. Show Unread Only: Uncheck this box to view all Notifications that have been marked as Read.
  2. Yellow Bullet: Click this bullet to mark the individual Notification as Read.
  3. Close Menu: Click this to close the Notifications menu.
  4. Context Menu (Overall): The top-right Options Menu contains the option Mark All As Read, which wil mark all unread notifications as Read.
  5. Context Menu (Notification): The contents of the Options Menu are dependent on the Notification (e.g. a Download option for an Export PDF complete Notification). The two options common to all Notifications are Mark As Read, which marks the notification as Read, and Archive, which ensures that the notification can no longer be marked as Unread.
